Corn Art
Our whole class did this corn art. We spent a whole week doing this creative activity. It was hard work because
we first had to draw the corn in pencil. Then we painted the corn and dyed the white parts.
Later in the week we got a coloured paper and glued them together. Finally, Margaret stapled the art on the wall.

Playing with cards
Today in the morning our class played cards. We played the cards about getting 4 same cards then you can become a judge The cards were in decimals, fractions and pictures. I did well but Mrs Ramkolowan came first place and I came 2nd I thought it was a really good maths exercise.

Last day of Snag golf
Walt:Play big shots on the grass.
Success criteria: explain
Yesterday we had our last day for our snag golf. Our coach’s name is Hugh Grant. So yesterday's lesson was about swinging the club then we had to get in a group I had to pick Daniel.
I challenged him who can hit it the furthest but he won by miles. Hugh told us how to hit the club. One of the things was that if you're hitting with your left hand then you have to keep your right leg like concrete but if you're hitting with your right then keep your left like concrete.
I wish that we had more lessons on snag golf because it is so fun I learnt lots of things from Hugh. Because he makes it much more easier to learn.

Main Idea
I had to write a summary of this story and decide a title I found it easy to use and read because there were different stories so I can write summaries of other stories to.
How do you like your corn?
For the last 2 weeks we have studied “corn maths”. We all did a survey on how do you like corn? We filled in the survey on our netbooks and our teacher filled out the other staff members opinions.

Estimation Activities
We were learning to estimate different parts of a cob. First,we had to estimate the silk from the cob, then we answered 207 but the actual answer was 214, we were really close. I worked with Ben and Harrison. It was easy working with them because they gave me a chance to talk. The skills we had to use were rounding off and tidy numbers. The next thing I want to learn is to revise meanings of mean, range, median, mode.
