Meat pie filling / food tech
Today we made a meat filling for a pie at food tech. We made a mince filling. I worked with my buddy Sami to finish the filling. Next week we will be making the rest of the pie.

Winter Learning Journey day 7 bonus activity
What A Amazing Week!
I found this week one of my best weeks. i have learned so much about New Zealand I have lived here for 6 years and I din't know about the Otago Rail trail. I liked visiting the hot pools and I loved about how I got lost in the forest but I was a bit scared when I imagined if I came on the first boat to New Zealand. This was the craziest road trip with my friend bloggers and Curious Kiwi, I have explored so much within a week and I have had such a fun time blogging these activities I cant wait till my next Learning Journey!
Phew I just had enough GB in my pocket wifi to finish this journey.

When I go on my laptop and I watch youtube or play games I feel relaxed but i couldn't be bothered to take a picture of me playing on my laptop its just a long process. I also feel relaxed on social media. I saw on most of my friends blogs they find reading relaxing that is just crazy. Reading and sleeping in fiji just doesn't work for me its just too hot!!!

1. Watch Kapa Haka
Its the Maori new year so we need to watch a Maori dance right? Because all the other cultures that come to the festival they will know how the Maori dance.

Most people go to places if there's food so the festival has presented a hangi for everyone.

Winter Learning Journey day 6 activity 1
Write a poem describing how you would have felt when you arrived in New Zealand in the first waka.
If I came on the first waka to New Zealand I would have feeled scared because I have no idea what to expect. New Zealand is also surrounded by water no other country's joined with us or close to us. I would get of the waka last because the land might not be safe. Might have Ebola u know.

tell us whether you would like to cycle the Otago Rail Trail one day. Does it sound like fun? Why or why not?
I would love to cycle on the Otago Rail Trail one day. It sounds like so much fun I might even taste it if I can. Why I would love to go there is that I like riding my bike super fast and there are no cars so you don't need to worry about cars but there are other people there but I like racing others in bikes so we can have a race. If I got a chance to go I would go with my family actually n they won't let me ride fast so ill go by my self. :$

All alone in a forest !!!
As I stare at strange looking trees I lost track of curious Kiwi. First I look around my surroundings to see if they are nearby. The sun was being blocked by the big trees. So I had no light to see where the others were at. I could hear foot steps, pt pt pt... I follow the sound and it took me to a apple tree. I looked at the ground and it was like a army of apples falling of the tree. I lost Curious Kiwi now I lost the track, maybe if I call my friends they might come back for me. Battery down... I raged so hard that I threw my phone in the army of apples. I had no time to look for my phone because Curious Kiwi likes to move fast other wise it will be to late to visit the other place. I screamed out loud like a girl and it echoed back to me. I felt so lost, 20 minutes walking in circles around the reserve I realized that I was the only on here because Curious kiwi would have been gone by now.

Fishing in farewell spit should be banned.
Fishing in farewell spit should be banned because more then enough whales die there so if they keep fishing there with their big fishing nets Dolphins will start dieing there then it will become a complete graveyard. Hectors dolphins are rare so they shouldn't die other wise they will extinct.

Whale Rider
Only Males are allowed to be the chief of the tribe. This ancient rule got upset when a child has been selected to be chief but the child died at birth but luckily the child twin sister was alive. She got taught all the things that a chief needed. She also did a speech her name was paikea.

Farewell Spit!
They named a beach Farewell Spit, thats just a unusual name, they actually named it because more than 300 whales have died on the shore. Everyone was ready to help but all they could do was put water on them and stop them from drying up. Many of the volunteer's were up all night trying to get them back to the water. It was a emotional rescue for them..

3 reasons why there shouldn't be predators in New Zealand.
1. Firstly Predators shouldn't be in New Zealand because it could be dangerous to the citzens of New Zealand.
2. Secondly, what will predators eat? They won't eat normal food, they will eat the animals around them.
3. Lastly Predators shouldn't be around the roads they can cause accidents.

There are many kea found in forest after all thats where they live. Kea is ranked as a specie or as a bird. Most Kea's have green feathers some might have black feathers. The Kea is the worlds only alpine parrot.

I enjoyed mostly at Rangitoto island because it has such a amazing view. Walking up the mountain is great for your fitness, I prefer running up the mountain. I am really skinny so I could fit through the big rocks inside the caves. For me Rangitoto was the best place from the three.
