Farewell Spit!
They named a beach Farewell Spit, thats just a unusual name, they actually named it because more than 300 whales have died on the shore. Everyone was ready to help but all they could do was put water on them and stop them from drying up. Many of the volunteer's were up all night trying to get them back to the water. It was a emotional rescue for them..

I hope at least some of the whales managed to get back into the ocean. Also, it was nice of the locals to try and help. Well done.
