Enlargement chalk art

Walt: Enlarge a picture.
My grid was 9 x 7. One square was 20cm.

We enlarged this picture outside using chalk. First we had to find a picture. My one was a sabertooth logo. Then we had to find a grid. After all this we had to go outside and draw the grid. Finally we drew the picture. My one was terrible!! My one wasn’t as accurate as some of the girls. If you had to do this what picture would you choose?

Enlargement drawing

Today we learnt to enlarge pictures. So we had to draw the same hin using this grid and we obviously had to count the squares carefully. My one was really really bad! I was easy at first then it got a bit difficult and then at the ending it got confusing. I would like to enlarge even harder drawings. What would you enlarge?

Tessellation

Walt: Create  and name tessellation patterns.
a tessellation is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping. And today we made tessellations. we got into group of fives. Lorenzo made the tessellation. It was really hard to figure out where the pieces go. Have you ever made a tessellation.

Today I did this fun activity called area blocks. I had to find the area and perimeter that was required. It was easy but at some stages it got difficult. I beat the computer by 13 points that was very close. Im sure one day I could fill the whole thing up
