Summer Learning Journey Week 1 - Day 1 - activity 2

Yo Wassup People

Somehow I managed to write this to all you guys. At the moment Im in the middle of my voyage to New Zealand. Its not going too well for me because I actually get sea sick when im out on the seas. Moving to country to country is absolutely fine with me its just I get sea sick so I hate moving countries.

Aloha Zain
What a funny way to write a letter I really enjoyed. How will you feel if one of your family members wrote this letter to you?

Kia ora Zain,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you for the Summer Learning Journey. It's great to see that you've been making a start with these activities. Well done!

This is a letter that I relate to. I get so sea sick! And I'm sure that many of the original settlers would have gotten sea sick as well.
What do you think the settlers were looking forward to about landing in New Zealand? I would have been looking forward to having my feet on solid land again!

Have you ever been on a boat before? I have, but always get sea sick!

Cheers,
Ruby.

Hi Zain!

My name is Ellee, I am another part of the Summer Learning Journey Crew that is commenting on your blogs this summer.

Looks like you have made a great start to your activities this summer, awesome work!

Thanks for writing a very entertaining letter... I'm not sure if settlers would have quite been up to greeting people with a 'Yo Wassup' yet but it definitely gave me a little giggle! (and very original!)

It's a shame you get sea sick in your letter ...my Mum could relate she is the same! I don't know if this is true but someone told me that chewing gum helps (another thing I don't think the settlers had!) Do you have any other tips for sea sickness?

Hope you have enjoyed your school holidays so far Zain, maybe we might see you back blogging soon!

Ellee :)
