Did you know that a lot of the Lord of the Rings, and the Hobbit, were made down in Wellington? Have you heard of Weta Workshop? I would love to do a tour there and buy some of the prop swords that were in the movies. How about you?
There is actually a really cool spot you can go to for free on Mt Victoria near the city, where they filmed one of the scenes for Lord of the Rings.
Another favourite place of mine is the waterfront. I'm sure if you google image search it, you'll see what I mean.
