Donut cupcakes food tech

This monday me and my group in technology made donut cupcakes. I worked with my best friend Sami and made a total of 12 cupcakes so we got 6 each. We actually made the cupcake wrong because we forgot to put the jam in the middle of the cupcakes But it tasted better than the others. (Get out the way)

What am I personification poem

WALHT: write a poem using personification

As I am punched With a tightly clenched fist
I rush through the air
With a breeze trying to stop me

Then gravity pulls me down
It keeps on dragging me down
Then all of a sudden
I am hit with a fore arm

I feel the same rush flying through the air
I feel fingers and hand all over me
I hit the ground with the force of a falling wrecking ball
I hear screaming and cheering as I am just laying there in wait

What am I?

Science Roadshow: Big foot Little foot

This activity wasn't science at all. It was mostly about who had the biggest foot and who had the smallest foot. Mrs Ramkolowan tried this and she got size 5. After Mya tried and her foot fitted in size 3, thats not far from Mrs Ranmkolowan.

science roadshow: Telephone activity

This was one of the science activities that there was. When one person said something on one phone it would go to the other phone. I thought this activity was really simple but fun at the same time.

Science roadshow Closing show

After about 1 hour of enjoyment the host of the show decided to do a closing live show. It was about how a xray camera works. They experimented on different cups and we saw a big difference. It can help show if you have broken a part in your body. After that we said our thank you's and went back to school.

Science Roadshow Mysterious Black Box

I think this activity was really awesome because when we looked in the hole it was dark and when we opened the box it was yellow. At first I didn't know what this activity was mainly about then my teacher said this is telling us about day and night. Do you think this is a mysterious box?

Ms Maude talks about migration

Today Ms Maude came to our classroom to explain what was migration. She also told us a story about a person called rupe. The story was mainly about how New Zealand got it's name and how it got found. So Rupe went to chase a octopus and he chased all around the pacific then he stopped until he saw a big island. It was the North Island. Then he went back to where he came from and told his village to go stay in New Zealand. So they were off with 7 different waka’s and all of them went to different parts of New Zealand. Ms Maude told us how they survived and how the children learnt from their grandparents.

This book will appeal to....

Screenshot 2017-05-19 at 11.28.43 AM.png

This book will appeal to myself because my sister can't read english and my mum and dad don’t like reading these kind of books. I like reading sophisticated books because it has pictures so it give me clues to what is happening. Tintin is a perfect book for 11 and 12 year old kids.

Chop/cut the apples into small pieces.

Put a ton of apples on the pastry.

Step 3
Tip a medium amount of sugar on top of the apples.

Step 4
Fold the pastry into a triangle.

Probability Online Games

Walt: How to solve problems using probability.

Today I played 4 probability games. The third game helped me to step up the pace, the questions were quite difficult. The second game wasn’t hard at all, all I had to do was pick the colours that I thought that the wheel will land on and I got a better understanding of probability by doing that. I think I am working at a level 4 in probability. Now I got a clear understanding of probability.

My Opinion - NZ herald

Screenshot 2017-05-08 at 2.14.47 PM.png
This was on the New Zealand herald and I agree with this sign. when people start work they go straight on their cell phone and they start using it to go on social media. In my opinions everyone should only use their phone at their break instead of using there phone when their doing work.  If I had to work in that place I would resign straight away because I usually go on social media. Would you like to work at that place?

probability : 8/20 Percentage: 40%
Walht: assign probabilities to simple events using fractions and percentages.

Today I was learning to assign probabilities to a game played with 2 10 sided dice. I played with my friend Sami We alternated rolling the dice. We did this 20 times. We recorded our score in the outcomes column. Of the 20 attempts we were successful 8 times So the probability is 8/20 as a simple fraction and 40% as a percentage. Since  we did similar games this week. Now I have a better understanding of probability.
