Howick Historical museum / 1845 school

On tuesday we went to Howick Historical museum. This time we went inside a 1845 school. It was really different to our school. The school only had one class. Their rules are much crazy then ours.

On tuesday we went to Howick Historical Museum. This time we made butter. We had turns spinning the milk. Then we started saying come butter come. Then we made the butter.

On Tuesday we went to Howick Historical museum. We had 4 different activities to do and one of them were playing with old toys. We found really weird toys that weren't familiar to us. We found out that on sundays you don't play noisy games.

Maths T2W9 / Rhombus

Walt: Identify and draw a rhombus.

Vocabulary: Parallel, rhombus, diagonal, angles, Matariki, stars, bisect, polygon, specialised, degrees, parallelogram, arrows, opposite, right angles

We had to use the seven stars of Matariki to draw a rhombus. A rhombus has a diagonal line coming down from each side. It also has 2 parallel lines that are opposite from each other. A rhombus is really easy to draw and identify. I am really sure that I will atleast get over 50 percent in a test with shapes now. Next I would like to learn how to draw other hard shapes.

Matariki/Reflection on the past

Walht: create a story.

My past is really amazing. I have achieved so many things and i have been progressing really well. Here are some stuff that I have really been shining in.

I have improved in my studies especially my maths. My latest results in maths was a 4a and for me that is incredible. My strength isn’t maths that's why I always have a big smile on my face when it's maths time.  Now hopefully I get a even better result in the future.

I have rather improved in my gaming more than my school work. I Play games every weekends because I have to study in the week days. One of my favourite things to do is play games And i'm kind of a addicted at playing games and playing at the arcade. I'm not attempting to do better but I kind of want to decrease the amount of games i'm playing, actually nevermind.

Soccer!! Soccer/football is my favourite sport to play. I practice almost everyday for my next match. I have matches every saturdays and trainings every Wednesday. My team is still unbeaten and that is a big achievement to get. Hopefully my team stays unbeaten for the whole season. It's most likely not going to happen. I have also scored 12 goals this season so I'm not that confident i'm going to get a trophy this year. I Have gotten the top scorer trophy 2 years in a row.. I should be going for 32 goals in this season but the matches are much harder than last year. I have improved a lot within my season.

This last six months in this year have been amazing. I have achieved so many things I couldn’t fit them all in. I am now aiming even higher of what I have improved within this 6 months. Hopefully we stay unbeaten in soccer.

Pizza pinwheels

Today We made Pizza Pinwheels at food tech. I worked with my friend Sami. Today we worked much better then last time. We had 4 pizza pinwheels each.

Today I did three different activities. They were all about volume. I found the first one really simple. They were all confusing but after reading the problem and understanding the problem it got much easier. To complete these activities you have to know your multiplications.

At food tech we made  quiche and I worked with my friend sami. Me and sami didn't like the mini quiche so I gave it to my friend Harrison.

Visualising the text

Walht: Visualise from the text The painting was a field of flowers, with deep and rich blues and yellows atop vibrant green stems that seemed to beckon you to reach right in and pick them.

I am learning how to visualise pictures in my head and then draw them. You first have to understand the text then form a picture in your head. If you want you can even draw a picture in your book. This was really simple work for me. Some parts you can even take a inference to the story. Next I will want to learn how to form a really hard picture in my head.

Measuring Angles

Yesterday evening we tried to find out the measurement of the tape. It was confusing but funny at the same time. we measured it with a protractor. We did this because we had a test today and I got a 4A in my maths strand test. I was really happy I was lucky that I did that work yesterday.

Improvement Alert... Ding Ding Ding

Today I did a E-asttle maths tests in the morning. In term 1 I had 4b on my maths results but this time I got a 4p. I say I have stepped up the pace in my learning. Next time I will get 4a.

Walt: Write a story about a sports equipment.

Greeting sir! I am a soccer boot. I am just a copy of the boot that a famous soccer player named Paul Pogba wears. My trip to New Zealand was a very  rough trip. Then I got taken off the box and got put on display. Customer walks by me, some stared and some even tried me on but put me back.

After about 2 weeks another person tried me on. He looked at the price tag underneath me. Two hundred and ninety nine Dollars and it's 50% off. After about 3 minutes he gives it a good grin and he picks me up and takes me to the counter and bought me. I was so excited until he threw me inside his car. The stench coming from the socks and the clothes all scrambled around the seat But I was ok with the mess inside the car.

After a while he carries me inside his gigantic house. He takes me out of the box and puts me in his boot collection. I say hello to the other boots but they didn’t reply. I shuffled my way closer to them and I turned them around. I was in a shock after I see their condition. After a day he picks me up and places me inside his bag. I wondered where I was off too. Then he puts me on and gets ready. I question myself what could this be for. Then he goes up to a group of people.

He shows me to everyone and everyone says that boot is amazing! Then he runs on the field and stretches. I knew I was going to participate in a soccer game. Everything was ready my owner gets in position ready to run off to intercept the ball. Prrrr! And the game starts!! The crowds cheering for my owner’s team Real Madrid. After sixty minutes I can’t function with all the mud in the way. Somehow I kept up until full time.

Once I got =-po9home with my owner he throws me in the cupboard. Now I knew why the boots never replied and why they were all rusty, mouldy and still muddy. I wrote this letter for my friends and family if you find this letter please deliver this back at England.
